I offer personal advice and individual services tailored to each specific case when handling this type of official translations.

Sworn translations are official translations that bear the signature and stamp of sworn translators that have been appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Sworn translations are valid before public and private institutions (ministries, courts, academic institutions, etc.). The title of sworn translator-interpreter is regulated by Royal Decree 2002/2009, of December 23.

Sworn translations are generally supplied on paper as they are official documents that have to include the signature and seal of the sworn translator. Therefore, postage fees are added to the price of this type of translation (which is charged at a higher rate given the official nature of these texts). If you require more than one original copy of a sworn translation, each copy will be charged as a percentage of the first copy.

Sworn translations that are going to be presented to a foreign institution may require legalization (for further information on this issue, please visit this link on the website of the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders and Interpreters). If you require a sworn translator-interpreter that can work into a language other than English, you can click on the following link to access the official list that is updated by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
